Kaiser Permanente Members Visiting Denton, TX

The straight answer first: Evolve Health is not a Kaiser Permanente clinic, and Kaiser does not offer health plans in Texas. If you're a Kaiser member in town and you need care, this page explains what Kaiser covers while you travel — and your options here.

Verifying your coverage is easy: bring your insurance card and photo ID, and with your date of birth we can check your plan and confirm you are in-network before your visit — so you can book with confidence.

The straight answer

No Kaiser network exists in Texas

Evolve Health is not in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and we are not contracted with Kaiser in any way. That is not specific to us: Kaiser Permanente operates only in California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Virginia, Oregon, Washington and Washington, D.C. There are no Kaiser plans, Kaiser hospitals or Kaiser network clinics in Texas — so no Denton clinic can bill Kaiser as an in-network provider.

Urgent or emergency care

What Kaiser covers while you travel

Kaiser covers its members for urgent and emergency care when traveling outside Kaiser service areas. So if something urgent happens while you're in Denton:

  • Medical emergency: call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room — do not wait
  • Urgent need: call the Kaiser member number on the back of your card (or Kaiser's away-from-home travel line) and ask how your plan handles urgent care while traveling
  • Keep everything: save receipts and paperwork from any care you receive — Kaiser will want them
Non-urgent needs

Care while you're in town, at a flat price

For the non-urgent stuff — a lingering cold, a sinus infection, a prescription question, a rash before your flight home — we can see you the same day as a self-pay patient. Sick visits are $75 flat, and we always tell you the price before you're seen. We cannot bill Kaiser for the visit, and whether Kaiser reimburses any of it is Kaiser's decision under your plan — but we will give you clear documentation of your visit to keep for your records or send to Kaiser, and to share with your regular Kaiser care team when you get home.

Not sure which situation you're in? Call us at (940) 257-2002 and describe what's going on — we'll point you the right way, even if the right way is the ER or a call to Kaiser first.

Questions, answered

Kaiser Visitor FAQs

Is Evolve Health in-network with Kaiser Permanente?

No. Evolve Health is not in-network with Kaiser Permanente and has no contract with Kaiser. Kaiser Permanente does not offer health plans in Texas — it operates in California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Virginia, Oregon, Washington and Washington, D.C. — so no clinic in Denton can be a Kaiser network clinic.

I'm a Kaiser member and I get sick while visiting Denton — what should I do?

For a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For urgent needs, call the Kaiser member number on your card — Kaiser covers its members for urgent and emergency care when traveling outside Kaiser service areas, and they can tell you exactly how your plan handles it. For non-urgent problems, Evolve Health can see you the same day as a self-pay patient; sick visits are $75 flat.

Will Kaiser pay for my visit at Evolve Health?

We cannot bill Kaiser for your visit, so plan on paying our flat self-pay price yourself. Whether Kaiser reimburses any of it is Kaiser's decision under your plan — urgent and emergency care while traveling is handled differently from routine care. We will give you clear documentation of your visit that you can keep for your records or send to Kaiser, and we recommend calling the member number on your card with coverage questions.

Can my Kaiser clinician see what happened at my visit?

We will provide you with documentation of your visit — what we found, what we prescribed, and any tests we ran — so you can share it with your regular Kaiser care team when you get home.
