Video visits are convenient — but they're not right for everything. Here's our honest guide to when telehealth is perfect, when you need to come in, and when you should head to urgent care or the ER instead.
Choose video when…
- Colds, flu, sinus infections, and allergies
- UTIs and bladder infections
- Rashes you can show on camera
- Birth control, ED, or hair loss consults
- Medication refills and chronic-condition follow-ups
You must be physically located in Texas during the visit — telehealth is for Texas patients only.
Come in person when…
- Annual physicals and DOT physicals (federal rules require DOT in person)
- Anything needing labs, procedures, or a hands-on exam
- New or worsening symptoms that need to be felt, not just described
- Sports and school physicals
Go to urgent care or the ER when…
Call 911 or go to the emergency room for chest pain, trouble breathing, severe bleeding, signs of stroke, or any emergency. Our clinic is not an emergency room.
The best of both
Many patients mix: an in-person first visit, then video follow-ups. You get the relationship of a real clinic with the convenience of your couch. Book either way at (940) 257-2002.
